Bruh at work today I was working in this cooler room thingy, fridge or something, but I was blasting this song from my phone and jamming to it, like no one was watching. (No one was, so I thought)

This truly must have been the talk for at least 5 minutes, I think because of why I was singing so hard. After that another older colleague of mine came in and tried to scare me whilst I was singing another song from my phone! This made my day and it could not have gone any better XD

If I can dare to make a suggestion, I'd love to hear that sort of metronomically repeated single note from the bass clef of the piano part drop out or drop back a bit more after some of the other instruments have come in. it's every-so-slightly delayed on purpose, which is a super cool sound, it's stretches the fabric of what you're doing so tight! That's your jazz-pop thing, and it pays tribute to a whole history of that style, I get it, but try letting that fade out a bit, and letting the drums carry the beat into another room or at least across the room a bit. Let some other parts carry it to a new place. Go into a little bit more of a broader swing with some crescendos into crashes flowing over several swings, followed immediately by brief quiet periods and quick rebuilds to a cruising level where you maybe bring the metronome note back forward just a bit, then let it fade again.. I can hear an elongated version of this, with echoes and reverb, and a pretty wild lead guitar, playing off a classical guitar. I can hear a bit of brass in there, at brief moments. It's jazz, fundamentally, but it's.. jazz-pop. You are having a spectacular time of this - but I think there's even more to be done, here. But that's just my two cents. And I ain't shit. ;-) So. Rock on.
I can imagine you might be having trouble groking the notion of a lead guitar in this. You're familiar with Steely Dan, right? That band carried full on brass jingly jazz all the way into pop-rock land with a super serious lead guitar. If you can add your stretched tight sound to that? I think you will cross the diamond with the pearl.
